Volunteer Centre
Our Volunteer Centre provides up-to-date information on volunteering opportunities in the Chester area for anyone wishing to volunteer. Chester has a vibrant voluntary sector and offers a diverse range of volunteering to suit all tastes and requirements.
The Volunteer Centre is able to provide you with all the information you need to get started. As part of our service we will provide you with literature, advice and guidance to help you make an informed and appropriate choice.
Our Pathways Project offers additional support to any volunteer who feels they may benefit from a little help getting started with volunteering.
Our v-involved Project gives additional support to 16-25 year old volunteers.
The Volunteer Centre publishes ‘Voluntary Work in Chester’ giving details on 140 organisations in the area which regularly recruit volunteers. This is available on request from the Volunteer Centre. The national volunteering database www.do-it.org.uk posts all our opportunities online. Prospective volunteers can log on to this site and browse local opportunities.
