This project aims to support individuals and families with multiple and complex needs to move closer to, and into, the labour market. The project will focus on those who are furthest from the labour market, helping them move towards and into employment. Employment will be one measure, but so too will be the confidence of participants to progress onto other training, education or voulunteering opportunities.
The project will:
- provide the means through which disadvantaged people become work-ready, and are able to
access learning, training and job opportunities;
- engage and support disadvantaged people to enable them to overcome barriers to employment;
- be responsive to the different needs of individuals and communities;
- provide consistent levels of support across urban and rural areas.
The funding, secured by Golden Gates Housing Trust, is through the Building Better Opportunities programme, a key part of the Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership’s (LEP) European Funding Programme. The scheme sees the Big Lottery Fund matching funds from European Social Fund (ESF) 2014-2020, to provide joint investment in local projects that tackle poverty and promote social inclusion.
