We have news of three funds to share with you

The Westminster Foundation – Major Grants

The Westminster Foundation’s current strategy is focussed on combatting poverty-related issues in the specific communities of the UK that it operates in. Funding can be used to support the vulnerable groups identified by The Westminster Foundation, which are people affected by social and economic disadvantage as a result of:

  • Homelessness.
  • Mental health.
  • Physical disabilities.
  • Family breakdown.

The Foundation has a particular interest in projects that support young and elderly people.

Women’s Empowerment Fund

The Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) has launched a call for applications for a Women’s Empowerment Fund. The Fund is £250k in total and voluntary and community groups whose primary objective is to work with women in the community are invited to apply for funding for local community engagement projects that empower women. They will allocate a maximum of £20k per project.

Triangle Trust

They fund work with carers or the rehabilitation of offenders or ex-offenders. They recognise that long-term sustainability for organisations can be of higher importance than starting a new project. Development Grants of up to £40,000 per year for three years are available towards organisation’s core costs, helping them develop sustainable income sources.
