Looking for VolunteersIf you are an organisation in the voluntary, community or public sector, or if you are a not-for-profit organisation, then we can help you with volunteer recruitment. You can register your volunteering opportunities with us FREE and we will publicise them to potential volunteers - see registration pack. We also maintain a database of local volunteering opportunities which members of the public can browse at our office when they attend a brokerage meeting or view online at www.do-it.org.uk Either way prospective volunteers can make informed choices when deciding where to volunteer. If a volunteer expresses an interest in working with your organisation, we will pass their contact details on to you to make arrangements to see them. Annual Celebration EventEvery year during the summer, the Volunteer Centre holds a celebration evening. This is the one occasion in the year when groups join together to show their appreciation for the work undertaken by their volunteers. From 2011 the celebration evening will be open to all volunteers - not just those who have completed 100 hours. Volunteer co-ordinators will be invited to nominate a handful of volunteers who they would like to bring. For more information, call Clare, Joanne or Dee on 01244 316587.
