Cheshire West and Chester Council has launched a new toolkit for people across the Borough who are organising events for their local communities.
Organising an event can be a daunting task, especially for those with little knowledge or experience of the processes and permissions required.
The Cheshire West and Chester Council events team see it as a key priority to support organisers, for both large and small events, to gain the skills required to deliver safe and successful events for their communities.
To help local groups organise events in the Borough they have launched a new “Guidance for event planning” toolkit, which takes organisers through the event planning process, step by step, offering hints and tips along the way, as well as clarifying what important permissions may be required, such as road closures and licenses.
The ‘Guidance for Event Planning’ document can be downloaded from the events pages of the council website at www.cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk/runninganevent.
