Between July 2014 and January 2015 Healthwatch Cheshire West issued a Patient Questionnaire to local people to gather their views regarding access to and experience of local General Practice provision.

Over 1000 local people responded to our Patient Questionnaire and in the main their responses paint a positive picture, with over 75% rating appointments with their GP as either ‘good’ or ‘excellent’.

The purpose of this report is to publish all quantitative and qualitative responses to the Patient Questionnaire and to initiate dialogue with those who plan and provide General Practice locally regarding the themes that have emerged.

The Operational Committee of Healthwatch Cheshire West is currently setting key lines of enquiry which will be discussed with partners and reported on later in 2015, along with details of targeted engagement that has taken place with seldom heard groups regarding their experiences of local General Practice provision.
