Information |
- ‘Voluntary Voice’, CVA’s Quarterly newsletter.
|
- Network database with information and contacts for more than
450 voluntary, community and faith organisations.
|
- Regular mail-outs on local developments.
|
- Signposting organisations to other services.
|

Advice and Support |
|
- Support to new and emerging organisations.
|
- Training and information sessions.
|
- Funding assistance including access to the Grantfinder database
and reference books.
|
- Administration of the CVA Relief Fund, available to organisations
for one-off small grants [usually up to £30] to meet the
emergency needs of their individual clients.
|
- Equipment hire: exhibition stands, OHP, PowerPoint Projector
and Screen.
|
|
Liaison and Partnership Working |
- Connecting organisations across the voluntary and community
sector through Chester District Voluntary and Community Sector
Network, including Quarterly Network Forum meetings, open to
all organisations in the District.
|
- Supporting the voluntary and community sector’s involvement
in local partnership working e.g. Chester in Partnership Steering
Group and producing a Quarterly Network Bulletin with feedback
and news.

- Playing a lead role in supporting Chester’s District’s
developing Compact framework processes and the voluntary and
community sector’s full participation.

Volunteering
Chester Voluntary Action includes the services of Volunteer Centre
Chester, which include:
- Developing volunteering opportunities.

- Working with potential volunteers and brokering links with
volunteering organisations.
|
- Promoting and supporting good practice in work with volunteering
agencies volunteering.
|
Volunteer Centre Chester produces a range of publications including
a quarterly Newsletter and Good Practice Guide, offers training and
networks for volunteering agencies and works with individuals looking
to take up a volunteering opportunity in the District.
