The first winner from our Volunteer Awards has been revealed as Rebecca Clough from Countess of Chester Hospital.

Rebecca was nominated by volunteer manager, Sue Cornick (pictured below right) for her dedication and commitment to the role.  “Rebecca’s aim is to train as a doctor and will be off to university having gained a place and I feel with the devotion and commitment she has given to volunteering within the hospital she will succeed.”

T14he panel were also very impressed: “For a young person to commit their time to help and care for the elderly and those suffering with dementia shows great character, devotion and respect.”

Rebecca wins a great prize package which includes vouchers for Escapism Chester and Gladstone’s Library cafe, tickets for Chester Zoo, an Elemis toiletries set from Grosvenor Hotel and personalised artwork by local artist Graffiti Dave

The runner up in this category was Josh Cottrell from Chester Zoo who wins chocolates from Retain Wellbeing CIC, a voucher for Hopper Coffee and two Brio leisure vouchers.
