Brightlife Commissioning: Dementia in Winsford Workshop

What is the purpose of the workshop?

This workshop will give delegates the opportunity to be involved in an exciting new commission in Winsford around social isolation and dementia.

Brightlife will be commissioning a service or services in Winsford to test how people living with dementia and their carers can gain enhanced visibility and greater inclusion in the community.

It is hoped that, by working with partners, whatever we commission will form the basis of creating a dementia inclusive Winsford.

This is a chance for professionals with knowledge about dementia, carers and/or the Winsford community to help shape what this commission looks like.

NB: A separate workshop will be held for those living with dementia and their carers.

Who is the workshop aimed at?

Anyone working to improve the lives of those living with dementia and their carers, including:

  • Anyone already providing services for people living with dementia and/or their carers
  • Any individuals or organisations with knowledge and experience of how living with dementia affects people and their carers
  • Anyone who might be interested in submitting a tender for Brightlife’s commissions around dementia in Winsford

What is the format?

It will be a fully interactive workshop, designed to share knowledge, experience and ideas. A series of activities will give delegates the chance to explore the services already available in Winsford, what could be put in place to enhance these and how a dementia inclusive Winsford could be created.
