Following the success of last year’s CVA Volunteering Awards, we are delighted to announce that we will once again be recognising many local volunteers in this year’s awards, sponsored by Cheshire West and Chester Council.  We want to hear about all the inspiring work that goes on in our local area and you can vote for somebody you know using our nomination form

Volunteers’ Week 2018 is 1-7 June and in order to celebrate volunteering in the community we need your nominations in the following categories:

Young Volunteer – For any volunteer aged 25 and under who has demonstrated commitment and enthusiasm to their volunteering role, may have developed in a personal capacity and is keen to learn new skills.  Last year’s winner

Older Volunteer – For any volunteer aged 65 and over who has demonstrated commitment and enthusiasm to their volunteering role by sharing their skills, wisdom and knowledge.  Last year’s winner

CVA Inspiration  – For any volunteer who has made an exceptional contribution to volunteering and who inspires others through their actions. Volunteers may have overcome adversity or challenges in their volunteering journey. Last year’s winner

Trustee – Recognising the work of trustees, perhaps you have a board member who has shown great commitment or who has developed your organisation through their passion  (New category for 2018)

Good Neighbour – Is there someone in your local community who makes a difference?  We want to hear about it. (New category for 2018)

Nominations will be shortlisted and the decision made by a panel made up of local people from the voluntary, public and private sectors.  Meet the panel here

Results will be announced during Volunteers’ Week.
