Chester Voluntary Action (CVA) has appointed Chester resident Helen White as its new Chief Executive.
Helen is currently Chair of the Knowsley Housing Trust and also chairs the Wales Regulatory Board, which examines the regulatory performance and activity of the Welsh Government and the housing sector. Helen brings wide experience in communications, leadership and management. She takes up her new post on 3 September.
“Helen joins CVA at a time of change for the voluntary sector which is currently striving to identify innovative and effective ways of working – particularly in partnership with others – and maintaining sound financial resources” said CVA Chair, David Bull. “We have no doubt that Helen is the person with all the skills, vision and enthusiasm to lead our organisation and its amazing team into the future.”
Helen commented “This is an exciting and welcome challenge. I’ve been particularly inspired by how the CVA team supports and enables local voluntary and community groups to thrive and I’m looking forward to building upon those achievements and working with the CVA team to deliver the best possible services.”
