Chester Voluntary Action is a local support and development organisation. We support the development of a vibrant, thriving and sustainable local voluntary, community and faith sector which has a strong and effective voice and successfully meets the diverse and changing needs of the local community.

To do this we:

• Provide services and support to enable local voluntary, community and faith organisations to function more effectively and deliver quality front-line services.
• Provide opportunities for collaborative and partnership working, and encourage and support multi-agency cooperation.
• Support the development of networks and forums to facilitate effective communication or networking, and collaboration amongst local third sector organisations.
• Enable effective representation and involvement of the local third sector on key strategic partnership bodies to ensure that it is involved and has a strong voice.
• Promote volunteering by providing brokerage information and advice, and offering good practice support in volunteer management (through our Volunteer Centre).
